Wildfires forced evacuation near the Colorado Springs campus location.

Webster University’s Colorado Springs campus was temporarily closed earlier this week due to a mandatory evacuation resulting from the Waldo Canyon wildfire, located five miles from the campus.

“Although some Webster students, staff and faculty living in the affected area have been evacuated from their homes, they are known to be safe,” said Randy Wright, associate vice president of Academic Affairs.

Our thoughts are with colleagues and students living in this area.

All classes have been temporarily moved to Webster’s nearby Peterson Air Force Base location, outside of the evacuation area.
