Webster Staff Alliance Update to All Staff

| June 26, 2012

To All Staff:

The Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) Board would like to thank you for your comments generated from the recent Compensation Forum. We request your patience and want to assure you that we are diligently working with the Provost and President to express your concerns.

Please understand that the Administration has the University’s best interest at heart. With help from the WSA Committee the focus will be on the operations of the University and the needs and concerns of all staff.

The Provost has scheduled visits to various departments to better explain the University’s economic situation and to request staff participation during these difficult times. We support the Provost’s decision to approach this as a “grass-roots” effort and plan to work in unison with the administration to maintain open and honest communication. We will be present during discussions that may affect staff directly or indirectly and we will share clear and precise answers whenever possible.

WSA hopes that everyone understands the current challenges we have ahead of us. With your help, we intend to turn these challenges into achievements and look forward to working together in the future.

  1. Sandra Hunter says:

I love that we have the WSA! It gives us a voice and a medium to communicate with the administration about our concerns. Even if things don’t change right away it really does help that we are able to speak our minds and that we are heard.

  2. Tamara says:

    Thank you so much, Sandra.

We appreciate everyone’s support and will continue to do our best to represent each one of you.

If anyone should have any questions or concerns, please feel free to share them with WSA.

    Thank you.

    Tamara Minley, WSA Chair
