EMSA Training Sessions Open to University Community

Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) offers a robust training program with regularly scheduled training sessions open to the University community. Topics include:

  • How to create a standard operating procedure (SOP)
  • Dealing with disruptive students
  • National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and National Career Development Association (NCDA) updates
  • CIVSA (Collegiate Information and Visitors Services Association) National Conference Updates

    Thank you for making these workshops available to the entire University. They all look great, but I would personally recommend the one on standard operating procedures.

    If you are in an office where you are the only person who “does what I do” or you are in an office where many individuals perform the same duties – this workshop can be extremely useful. SOP’s can streamline workflow, boost consistency and can make your day to day operations much easier.

    Documenting your processes as an office project is also a great “added bonus” when thinking about performance appraisals and annual evaluations. SOP’s are tangible records of the kind of work you do and how you do it.
