The WINS program welcomes Kent State University.

The Office of Study Abroad is proud to welcome Kent State University to the Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) program. Founded in 1910, Kent State’s eight-campus system supports a longstanding mission of teaching, research and public service.

As Northeast Ohio’s premier public university, Kent State is also committed to global education. In an effort to better streamline international learning opportunities for their students, Kent State will move one of their largest study abroad programs to operate in conjunction with Webster-Geneva. Following discussions in Houston during the NAFSA conference, the agreement has been finalized and both institutions are looking forward to many successes.

Kent State students visit Webster Geneva.

Earlier this month, a cohort of students enrolled in Kent State’s MA program in Higher Education Administration visited Webster-Geneva and were thoroughly impressed with the campus facilities, academics and professional staff.  The students and the program’s faculty leader Ken Cushner were traveling in both Geneva and Florence while participating in a course on developing study abroad programs.

Facilitating international exchange and student mobility, the WINS program provides a range of mutual benefits for students, staff and faculty. The program extends Webster’s tradition of fulfilling unmet needs in providing WINS study abroad students up to $1000 for travel to a Webster campus, fosters dialogue and encourages high standards in global education.
