“Webster’s Little Village” Playground Honors Myrtle Beach Campus

"Webster's Little Village" playground at Progressive Learning Academy

Progressive Learning Academy, located in Florence, S.C., named their playground “Webster’s Little Village” after Webster University’s Myrtle Beach campus because of “the love and care Webster has shown for the children” who attend the academy.

Academy owner Carol Wright says the school embraces a vision of mental wellness for the children it serves who have a variety of emotional, mental and/or behavioral health problems.

The academy also provides internships to Webster students who attend the Myrtle Beach campus, as well as students from other colleges and universities.

“The staff and students at Webster have been exceptional, and for the last several years they have participated in providing Christmas presents for our children and their families in need,” says Wright.

“On behalf of the Progressive Learning Academy we would like to say thank you very much for all of your kindness and generosity.”
