Message to Webster Community: In Appreciation for a Memorable Commencement

International students carried the flags of their native countries at Webster's 93rd annual Commencement.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Commencement ceremonies at most institutions are a yearly event. At Webster, our extended network of campus locations means we are celebrating graduates year-round.
Nonetheless, our May commencement ceremony held at the MUNY in Forest Park is special — it is our largest celebration for graduates who come not just from the St. Louis area, but from around the world. Of the more than one thousand graduates, 145 came from extended campuses and 120 online students attended.
Thank you for making the day memorable for graduates and their families and friends. It would be easy to treat each commencement like the last — to see the day as an exercise to carry out. But, as you know, each year is different — because each year we have a new group of graduates who have come, with their family and friends, to celebrate a milestone in their lives.
Because of your hard work and dedication to excellence, our graduates are leaving Webster with a sense of how important they are to us and to the future of Webster.
To each and every member of the staff, faculty, and administration who assisted in making the day successful, we thank you.
