Webster Commended for Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

As a result of the last visit for continued institutional accreditation in 2008, Webster University was required to submit a progress report to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) on the assessment of student learning in all degree programs at all University sites.

Since the visit, Webster has instituted a new framework, new structures, and new processes to support and engage the community in student learning outcomes assessment. These were described in the progress report to the HLC.

Webster’s report has been accepted by the HLC with no further reports required. The HLC response included praise for the efforts the University has made:  “The University is commended for advancing the assessment program to the point where it is truly operational and effective.”
