2012-2013 Academic Catalog Update Procedure

The process has begun for reviewing and updating information for the 2012-2013 graduate and undergraduate catalogs. Last year, the graduate catalog underwent some major format changes, and based on the positive feedback we have received, the 2012-2013 catalog will maintain that format. The Catalog Committee has reviewed the undergraduate catalog and has made recommendations regarding its format to closely match the format of the graduate catalog.

While the format of the finished catalogs may be changed, the process for revision of catalog information remains largely the same this year. Following is the timeline we expect to follow during this process:

Week of March 5

DeLyle Bowen in Academic Affairs will send files to appropriate schools/colleges/departments for review.

Director of Operations of each school and college will be asked to oversee distribution of files to appropriate departments

Designated persons in the following areas will also receive files for review and update:

Admissions
Academic Affairs
Finance and Administration
Advising
Registrar
Financial Aid
Enrollment and Student Management

Week of March 19

All reviewed files should be returned to DeLyle Bowen in Academic Affairs, along with confirmation that they have been reviewed.

Any additional changes approved by Curriculum Committee and Graduate Council through March 15 for inclusion in the 2012-2013 catalog will be inserted.

Online catalog will be updated in the website content management system (SiteStudio) to reflect all changes that have been made.

Week of March 26

Departments will review their sections of the online catalog for accuracy prior to publication to the Web. Notify DeLyle Bowen in Academic Affairs of any discrepancies or errors immediately.

Week of April 2

New online catalog will go live.

• Notice of publication will be placed in Webster Today.

• Departments will have one final opportunity to review their sections of the online catalog for accuracy. Notify DeLyle Bowen in Academic Affairs of any discrepancies or errors immediately, as this will affect the accuracy of the printed catalog as well.

Updated files will be sent to Global Marketing and Communications for preparation of printed catalog.

Week of April 9

All corrections to catalog will be posted in online catalog and sent to Global Marketing and Communications.

No further updates will be accepted after April 13.

Early-Mid June

Printed catalogs will arrive for distribution.
