February Sustainability Events Kick off with Sustainability Week

Several sustainability events will be held this month on Webster University’s home campus, including a full lineup during Sustainability Week (Feb. 13 – 17).

• Feb. 13, Local Food Day
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., UC Presentation Room, WSES sponsored

• Feb. 14, DIY Sustainable Crafts
9 – 11 p.m., Sunnen Lounge, WSES sponsored

• Feb. 15, Ed Spevak, curator, St. Louis Zoo, speaking on the State of Pollinators.
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., UC Presentation Room, WSES sponsored

• Feb. 16, TrailNet and alternative transportation: Come to the UC and create your own smoothy using pedal power while you learn about the benefits of bike transportation and commuting in St. Louis.
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., University Center Commons

• Feb. 17, Renewable Energy: Erin Noble from Straight up Solar; PJ Wilson, Director of Renew Missouri; Microgrid Energy; Webster University spokesperson.
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Sunnen Lounge, WSES sponsored

• Feb. 21, Scott Woodbury from Shaw Nature Reserve and Klaus-Dieter Raush from SWT Designs: Rain gardens and the rain gardens of Webster University.
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., Sunnen Lounge, Webster University Plant Biology class and WSES sponsored

• Feb. 22, Screening of ‘Climate Refugees’ and ‘Sun Come Up’ with discussion afterward.
