Akande’s MLK Column in USA Today; Webster Twitter Noted; Rishe on Heisman Value

Recent news media featuring Webster University:

USA Today published a Martin Luther King Jr. Day column by Benjamin Akande, dean of Webster University’s George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology. In the column, “On Economy, MLK Would Have Demanded Better,” Akande speaks of how King would handle fraying politics and tough economic times today — by challenging America to do better. The piece is also posted at the Walker School blog.

Also in USA Today recently, Webster sports economics expert Patrick Rishe‘s assessment of what the Heisman Trophy is worth to Robert Griffith III — as much as $25 million in new earnings opportunities — was cited. Rishe published his analysis in a column at Forbes.com, and it’s also been published in print by the Fort Worth Star Telegram (Jan. 15).

Finally, the Riverfront Times 2012 Web Awards finalists includes Webster University’s Twitter account for “Best Use of Twitter to Promote a Business/Org.” You can follow Webster at @websteru
