In the News: Rishe on NBA at Bloomberg TV; Alum’s Film ‘Spanish Lake’

Last month Webster University associate professor and sports economist Patrick Rishe was interviewed on Bloomberg TV to discuss the timing and financial impact of the NBA returning to business around Christmas after a lengthy lockout. Watch the video of Rishe’s appearance here. Rishe is a Webster associate professor in the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology.

Last weekend Webster University School of Communications film directing alumnus Phillip Andrew Morton (’02) was profiled in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about his upcoming documentary, “Spanish Lake,” examining the controversial transformation of the unincorporated community north St. Louis County marked by abandoned post-World War II homes and Section 8 housing.

Morton’s documentary is scheduled for release in summer 2012. Here is the first trailer:
