Susan Seymour Named Thailand Interim Academic Director

Webster University welcomes associate professor Susan Seymour as interim Academic Director for Webster University’s campuses in Thailand. She has agreed to serve as interim director for the Spring 2012 term as the search process continues to look for a new permanent replacement. Susan has been and will continue to be an active member of that search process.

Susan has taught at Webster University for 20 years. She has held administrative positions as the advertising program coordinator and graduate studies director in the School of Communications, and as interim director of the London campus.

As a faculty member, she most frequently teaches Intro to Marketing Communications, Creative Strategies for Advertising, Writing for Advertising, Advertising Research and Advertising Campaign Production. She has taught two of these courses at the Thailand campus.

In addition, Susan has more than 15 years of professional experience in marketing communications including working at SBC (now AT&T), Anheuser-Busch, ITT Financial Services, ICF Industries and BHN Advertising.

In those positions she has served as: marketing communications consultant, manager of corporate advertising; manager of direct communications; manager of corporate identity; marketing services manager; sales promotion coordinator; advertising and public relations manager; writer; traffic/production coordinator; and ad salesperson.

Webster University has been a leader in international education for more than 30 years, offering degree programs with classes taught in English by Webster University faculty from across the world. Operating in Thailand since 1999, Webster has a residential campus situated near the towns of Cha-am and Hua Hin, approximately 185 kilometers south of Bangkok. Graduate programs are also offered at Bangkok Centre in the commercial heart of the capital city.
