The Webster University Choirs and Chamber Orchestra presents the third annual “Gift to the City” Concert featuring the talents of students and faculty, including the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and the Choral Society, under the direction of Trent Patterson, director of Choral Studies; and the Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Paul Davis, director of instrumental studies and conductor of the Webster Symphony Orchestra.

Date/Time: Sunday, Dec. 11, 2 and 4 p.m.
Location: Christ Church Cathedral, 13th & Locust, St. Louis, Mo. 63103
Admission: Free and open to the public

“We intend this concert to be a peaceful respite from the tugs of the holiday season,” says Department of Music chair Jeffrey Carter. “As part of our continuing series of concerts in great spaces around town, this particular event has quickly become a favorite of students, faculty, and the wider community.

“We continue this year with two performances in order to accommodate all who wish to attend. A special feature this December is three different organists playing various carol settings on the magnificent pipe organ at Christ Church Cathedral. We also will include this year a ceremonial singing of ‘White Christmas’.”

Additional performers: Stephen Eros, student organist; William “Pat” Partridge, cathedral organist and adjunct professor; Earl Naylor, organist and adjunct professor; the Webster University jazz combo; Paula Bernhardt, flute and adjunct professor.
