Fall teams are gearing for SLIAC tournaments.

So far, so good this Fall for Webster University sports.

The women’s cross country team brought home the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship, and men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball all qualified for their SLIAC tournaments.

A quick look at the whirlwind of events over the next few days:

Men’s Soccer: The Gorloks travel to Westminster College, in Fulton, Mo., on Nov. 2 to face the Blue Jays at 6 p.m. If Webster wins, they would face either Fontbonne University or Greenville College (Ill.) on the road, on Nov. 5 in the championship, time TBD.

Women’s Soccer: Webster will host Greenville College on November 3 at the Soccer Park. A victory over the Panthers would put them in the championship vs Principia College or Fontbonne on Nov. 5, the time TBD. A Principia match-up would be in Elsah, Ill., and the Gorloks would host if Fontbonne wins.

Vollleyball: The women’s volleyball team will be hosting for the fourth time in the past five years on Nov. 5 at Grant Gymnasium. Webster has won the tournament eight of the 13 years it has been held and won it four straight from 2006-2009. The Gorloks will face Westminster College, who they have beaten twice in 2011, in the first round, and a win would put them in the championship match versus Principia or Greenville later that day.

Webster University students will be admitted FREE with an ID. Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for students from SLIAC (with an ID), $2 for children ages 5-16, and children under 5 are free.  For up to date information of match ups, venues, and times, go to sliac.org.
