The concert opens with the Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Paul Davis, performing Andante Festivo by Finnish composer, Jean Sibelius; Serenade for Strings by British composer Edward Elgar; and Bela Bartok’s Rumanian Folk Dances.

Under the direction of Trent Patterson, the concert continues with the Chamber Singers performance, featuring members of the Webster University Chamber Orchestra; Martha Hart, mezzo-soprano and new voice faculty member; and student soloists. Works will include: Prelude, Ola Gjeilo (1978 – ); Spätherbst (Op. 92 No. 2), Johannes Brahms (1833 – 1897); Ave Maria, J. Michael Saunders (1989 – ); and Gloria (RV 588), Antonio Vivaldi (1678 – 1741). The concert concludes with both ensembles collaborating to perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria.
