It’s Time to Get Flu Shots
From Cheryl Fritz, Human Resources:
Flu season is here, and it’s more important than ever for you to take care of your health. A single flu shot can protect you and your family members against the seasonal flu, H1N1 and other forms of the flu virus. Take a positive step to help reduce your chance of catching this season’s flu by getting a flu shot. Please read the attached [PDF] flyer from UHC for further information about who should and should not get a flu shot.
Provider options available to United Healthcare members are:
• Your in-network primary care physician (for EPO/POS participants) or out-of-network physician (for POS participants only)
• The following retail pharmacies
• CVS: www.cvs.com/flu
• Rite Aid: http://www.riteaid.com/pharmacy/immunization/
• Target: www.target.com/flu
• Walgreens: www.walgreens.com/flu
• Mollen immunization clinics available through the “Flu Shot Locator” at www.FluShotsUSA.com
These facilities will bill through the medical portion of your plan and require a payment based on whether you are in the EPO plan ($20 co-pay) or POS plan ($25 co-pay for in-network or 30% of eligible expenses once you have met your annual deductible for out-of-network).
For Saint Louis employees and families, Barnes-Jewish is offering free clinics again this year while supplies last. Attached is a list of the community flu clinics; one clinic will be close to our main Webster campus on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from noon – 5 p.m. at Eden Seminary (Commons).
