Thompson House Music Building Renovation

The Thompson House Music Building located at 8282 Big Bend will undergo exterior renovation from June 6 through mid-August.

The purpose of the renovation is to restore the exterior of the building, preserve the historic architecture, extend the future life of the building and improve energy efficiency.

The Thompson House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, an official list of the Nation’s places worthy of preservation. The Tudor style building, which was built in 1915, will receive exterior repairs, new paint, insulation upgrades, roof repairs and new exterior lighting. Contractors will work around ongoing Opera Theatre and Community Music School activities.
