Gorloks Defeat #1-Ranked Team in NCAA Opener

The baseball team’s running game revved up the Gorlok offense while freshman Zach Schneider kept Christopher Newport University’s at bay as Webster University won in NCAA first round action, 11-1. The Gorloks didn’t flinch as they faced the ABCA number-one ranked team May 18 in the NCAA III at the South Regional in Millington,Tenn.

They play Salisbury College (Md.) today, May 19, at 3:30 p.m. at USA Stadium. Salisbury lost to Piedmont College, 10-1 in the opening round, but entered the tournament ranked 29th in the last ABCA poll.  Live stats and live video will be available:
