Revised Schedule: Coffee & Conversation on Global Citizenship Program

| January 27, 2011

The process of adopting a new Global Citizenship Program to replace Webster’s current programs of general education is approaching a vote by the Faculty Assembly. The Global Citizenship Project Task Force (GCPTF) gave program recommendations to the Faculty Senate in November, and the Senate now has circulated its proposal.

The GCPTF invites interested faculty and other members of the University community to discuss the proposals at upcoming sessions scheduled for Feb. 2 (postponed), 3, 4 and 7.

[SCHEDULE UPDATE, Feb. 3: The Feb. 2 sessions were canceled when the campus closed due to inclement weather; the other sessions will go on as scheduled, and a new morning coffee session has been added Friday, Feb. 4, at 9 a.m. in the Faculty Development Center in the Emerson Library.]

Additional sessions with soup and salad will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 and Feb. 7 in the Presentation Room.

Copies of the proposals and related information is available at http://veryclevername.tumblr.com.
