Joe Schuster, professor & chair, Communications & Journalism, recently had his novel, tentatively titled “Everything He Might Have Been,” accepted for publication by Ballantine Books, a division of Random House. Projected publication is Spring 2012.

Robert Levin, adjunct professor, San Diego Metropolitan Campus, Calif., received the Top Corporate Counsel in San Diego Award from the San Diego Daily Transcript and the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). Levin is vice president and assistant general counsel with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he has worked for 22 years. He is credited for helping create an employee dispute resolution program at SAIC and for his volunteerism in the San Diego court system as well as that of educator with San Diego area colleges and universities.

Vickie Medley, adjunct professor, Memphis Naval Support Activity, Tenn., made a presentation on strategies for workforce classification for Navy Total Force at the 2010 Navy Workforce Research and Analysis Conference in Rosslyn, Va.
