International Week 2010

The University is celebrating International Week 2010 from Nov. 8 – 14 on the home campus, with a variety of activities scheduled as seen below:

Monday, November 8

11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Best of Bosnia, I-Week Kickoff – Sunnen Lounge, University Center

Join us as we kick-off I-Week with a celebration of Bosnia.  Learn more about Bosnia through food & culture and find out why there are so many Bosnians in Saint Louis.

Tuesday, November 9

11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Study Abroad Fair – University Center Commons

The Office of Study Abroad and Multicultural Center will be hosting a study abroad fair during Webster University’s celebration of International Education Week!  The fair will feature study abroad alumni and visiting international students from our international campuses.  They will share their experiences of what it’s like to study abroad, whether abroad means Europe, Mexico, Asia, or here in St. Louis.

Thursday, November 11

9:30 – 11 p.m.: Brazilian Band Samba Bom at Casino Night –  Sunnen Lounge, University Center

The International Lounge (Sunnen) at Casino Night will feature Brazilian Band Samba Bom.  Get captured away by the music and learn how to Samba at this year’s Casino Night.

Friday, November 12

12:30 – 2 p.m.: Going to China – Sunnen Lounge, University Center

Join the Confucius Institute and the Study Abroad Office for an information session to learn about the opportunities for students in China as well as local opportunities to learn Mandarin.

2:30 – 4 p.m.: Thai Food Fest – Love Foundation Alumni House

Want to eat freshly prepared food by Webster students?  The Culinary Art & Cuisine class will dazzle you with live cooking demonstrations.  Stop by the Alumni House to try some delicious and healthy free food!

9:30 p.m. – 1 a.m.: Global Party – OPA!  –  Marletto’s Marketplace, Maria Hall

Celebrate culture at the MCISA’s Greek Party – OPA!  The MCISA will transform you to Greece as you enjoy music by DJ DRE, dancing, food, and fun!

Sunday, November 14

6 p.m.:  5-a-Side World Cup Soccer Tournament  =  Grant Gymnasium
