Retailers around the country rang in the New Year on a high note with profits that reflected on the largest pre-Christmas sale in five years!

“This time shoppers spent in cash,” says Dr. Benjamin Akande, dean of the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology at Webster University.  “They spent money they had, not money that they hoped they might get.”
