Here are excerpts from the Happenings in Housing newsletter that was sent to residents of Campus Housing
Parking Permit Required
Public Safety will be ticketing the parking lots starting September 7.
If you live in the WVA and do not yet have a permit, visit the WVA Clubhouse Office during normal business hours to get one. You will need to show a current driver’s license and proof of car insurance, and you will need to know your license plate state and numbers. There is no cost to receive the WVA permit, but if it is lost, stolen, or not returned when you move-out, there is a $120 fee.
If you live in the residence halls and do not yet have a permit, visit the Public Safety Office to get one.
You are only allowed to park in the areas designated on your parking permit. Please carefully read the parking permit policies below:

Green Permits
This permit allows our students who live in the Residence Halls to park in the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage only. This permit does not entitle you to park on any surface parking lot, visitor parking lot, or in the Webster Village Apartments parking lot.

Yellow Permits
This permit allows our students who live in the WVA to park in the WVA parking lot and the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage. This permit does not entitle you to park in any of the flat lots or Hazel Ave. If you choose to park your vehicle in any other lot than the WVA parking lot or the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage it will result in a ticket, boot, or possible tow.
If you park your car illegally (fire lane, handicapped space, etc.), you will be ticketed and possibly towed, whether or not you have a permit. You can view all the parking policies online at http://www.webster.edu/publicsafety/parking.shtml.
ID Card Access
All residents must carry their student IDs at all times and must have their IDs properly encoded to gain entrance to their hall or, in the case the of the WVA, the Clubhouse building. If your card isn’t being read by the door swipe, please visit Public Safety during normal business hours to get it properly encoded.
EAST, WEST, MARIA RESIDENTS:
This is our policy for ID access in the residence halls:
- If a student is missing their ID, did not have their ID with them, or their ID does not have the correctly coded access, he/she is logged into our system for each incident in which this occurs.
- The first two times that a resident is granted access to the building without an ID are free. Starting with the third “no ID” incident, residents will be fined $10.00 each time.
- After a resident has accumulated $30.00 in “no ID” fines, he/she will face disciplinary action.
WVA RESIDENTS:
The WVA locks all the exterior doors of the Clubhouse Monday through Thursday starting at 7pm. On Fridays, the Clubhouse will be locked at 5pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Clubhouse will be locked all day except during the 1-3pm Office Hours. Entry to the Clubhouse and the Laundry Room can be obtained through the doors leading to the WVA parking lot. To enter, you must swipe your Student ID on the card swipe by that door. That is the only door that will provide access to the WVA Clubhouse.
