Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs and Center for International Education, 2012 Photo Contest concludes with three amazing winners.

1st Place
David McDonald
Reflections of East and West
Location: Ayutthaya, Thailand

This photo sums up the clashing and combining of East and West cultures in Thailand. In an ancient, sacred place there is a modern woman sitting with reflections of the old culture.

2nd Place
Kelli Yamaguchi
The Little Gypsy Boy
Location: Athens, Greece

My visit to Greece was just after the economic collapse. I saw gypsies everywhere,
especially little kids who would play their instruments for money.

3rd Place
Grace Cohen
Children Walking Home
Location: Old City of Jerusalem, Israel

I love the Old City and the people who inhabit it. This photo captures the trust and safety
of the streets, that the two young kids can walk alone together.

The winning photos will be displayed at the CIE offices in Loretto Hall, the MCISA student lounge, and will be featured at the Small Wall Gallery exhibit this Fall.  Photos from all participants will be featured in the Fall 2 CIE newsletter, Crossing Borders, and the MCISA blog.
