On Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 6:00pm CST for one hour, Emily Scharf and John Watts, Instruction and Liaison Services Librarians, will introduce you to the array of information available online to students across the world of Webster. Click this link to register and check out what we will cover below.
You will learn how to access subject-specific research guides, online books, articles, videos, and one-on-one help from a librarian all from the comfort of your own home. We will show you how to find the information you need when you need it.
We will provide a brief description of the research process for students and describe the different articles available in the Library.
We will describe additional types of information.
Students will identify research guides that will point them to sources relevant to their work. Students will see a live search in a database using keywords generated from a sample topic. Students will identify tools to help them locate a specific article for which they already have a citation. Students will locate the link to searching books and eBooks on the Library website as well as identify options for accessing books from a distance.
We hope you will join us!
